JARVIS CONSTRUCTION UK LTD
Re:  West Berkshire Community Hospital

“I would like to thank you and your team for the hard work and dedication, especially Mr Simon Lloyd who I found to be very professional, he worked not just for Building Sciences good but also to help this very important N.H.S Hospital to open on programme. Without his help and assistance to myself I know we would not be where we are today.

Please send all our thanks at Jarvis to your team, they are a credit to the Building Industry.”

BOVIS LEND LEASE
Re: 2 Plantation Place

“This is just a brief note to extend our thanks to your team for their hard work, during the past couple of weeks, that was so instrumental in our achieving a more than satisfactory test result of 4.25 Cu M/M2/Hr at 50 PA.

This result is, as you know, nearly 20% better than the specified requirement and is a tremendous achievement by all concerned, very well done.”

BLUESTONE PLC
Re: Units 2 & 3 Kingmaker Court, Warwick Technology Park

“Looking forward to receiving your final report, but have in the meantime passed on the air test results achieved on the K2 and K3 buildings to our client and his funder and they are extremely pleased with what has been achieved.

Can we take this opportunity therefore to thank you and the rest of the BSL organisation for all your help and support. Your enthusiasm and commitment were a constant source of encouragement during the pre test days when perhaps we were a bit down and results were below expectation.

Anyway thanks again – In the meantime we would be more than pleased to recommend your services to anyone taking up the battle against air leakage. You are a valuable ally.”

M3 CONSULTING
Re: Plantation Place, Mincing Lane

Building Science undertook an office – based review of the architect and specialist envelope sub-contractor's detailed design drawings. Comments were provided and suggestions were discussed and -where possible- considered by the design team.

Several design and co-ordination meetings were attended and specific issues of concern were raised.

Regular site inspections were carried out to check the standard of workmanship and compatibility of materials. Each visit was followed up with a written and photographic report given invaluable guidance to the management team.

A pre-test inspection was carried out, where fan pressurisation equipment was utilized to identify residual air leakage.

The final test was successfully carried out achieving half the statutory requirement. The input of Building Science, headed by Stuart Borland and Neil Prescott, proved to be invaluable especially at the early stages.
